In the next couple of weeks as the 12th International Festival of Dance and Music rolls around. The opera, ballet, Latin dance, classical and jazz concerts will fly to Bangkok. The mixed up of 22 shows that are an artistic and cultural respite after have been racked for a while of Bangkok. Js Oberoi is the festival's chairman as their plan of bringing world-class performances to the attention of Thai and arts and culture lovers in general.

In my opinion, this is a good opportunity to have a really nice shows around the world to perform in Bangkok after have been racked from the protest.

The Ministry of Education is hosting the 5th World Teacher's Day Thailand 2010 under the theme of Education for the World of Work during 26-28 August. There are many interesting activities in this seminar such as vocational system exhibition, educational invention for work creation of 12 countries and work skills competition of international students. You also can take free short-term training courses in here.

In my opinion teacher is a very important occupation that should have in every region. So, having world teacher's day is a good idea that show how important they are.

The executive vice-president of the country's largest mobile operator, Somchai Lertsutiwong said from response to the fast-growing use of mobile social networking might make the competition between mobile operator companies. They will make a contract with Microsoft to suggest ‘Chat Sim’ for mobiles. There are two companies improved this program together. They will add MSN Windows Live Messenger and can use in all ordinary phone. Everyone can be available it without own smartphones. They trust on their new goods that it will become popular because it serves different from old one.

In my opinion nowadays many people do not use their cell phone just for calling together but now there are many ways to contact each other such as using the internet and chatting on there phone. I think it will surely become popular in people who use all of them to communicate to other people.

Thailand-Singapore friendly match.

After the friendly match against Bahrain has cancelled, Thailand will play a friendly match against Singapore in Bangkok on August 11. The president of the Football Association ofThailand(FAT), Worawi Makudi said according to clashing with the Thailand Premier League that made the match against Bahrain cancelled. In the build up to the Guangzhao Asian Games in November, Thailand will also play two matches against India.Worawi said Malaysia, Singapore and Qatar were likely to be invited for a pre-Asian Games tournament in Bangkok. Thailand's head coach Bryan Robson is currently on vacation in England. He is scheduled to return to Bangkok next month. Worawi also said he plans to send Tawan Sripan to Barcelona to study coaching methods and training of the big team in Spain.

In my opinion that is a good thing to play a friendly match with many teams because the players can learn and keep fit for there real match. The president of FAT's plan is also a good idea to send his player to training with the big and famous team like Barcelona.

Thai press attends a seminar on early warning for disaster

The people who live in Thailand try to pay attention on disaster preparedness. They try to prepare themselves early in time of crisis.

Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) has organized the seminar under the theme of hazard alerts practices. They want to notify people to know information. ABU has also prepared to host a similar seminar in such countries as Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, China and Malaysia. The most of the natural disaster that happened in Thailand come across many countries such as Tsunami in 2004 Anyway, the earlier warning will make people have more time to prepare themselves and reduce loss of life and property from the disasters.

In my opinion the natural disasters are something that you should not playing with them, lives and properties were lost from each time that the natural disasters come. So, the early warning from anyone who involve about this can warn people to prepare and avoid losing lives and properties.

MRTA checked for security.

The public can definitely be sure of their security at all subway train stations, Mass Rapid Transit Authority (MRT) acting governor Yiamchai Chatkaew said on Tuesday

MRTA governor Yiemchai Chatkaew said tight security measures are in place at all subway train stations. All passengers are subject to bag checks. Closed-circuit surveillance cameras have been installed at all stations.

Security agencies have not issued any warning of possible sabotage and it was therefore not necessary for the MRTA to ask for support from the military, Mr Yiamchai said. He said passengers can be sure of their safety when using the subway train.

In my opinion I think the most important thing in public transportation is security. This is the good thing that the MRTA governor came out to ensure the security of all subway lines and stations and makes sure that the passengers will not be dangerous from using subways.

It all adds up to success

Thai students have won gold and silver medals at the 51st International Mathematical Olympiad in Kazakhstan.

The team, made up of six secondary school students, picked up one gold and five silver medals at the annual competition, which began on July 2 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. The event ends on Thursday.

The team finished fifth among the 98 participating countries.

Nipun Pitimana-aree from Srinakharinwirot University Pathumwan Demonstration School, won the gold.

Silver medals went to Thanat Khururat, Pongpat Pumiwat, Suppanat Khamtue and Pakawut Jiradilok from Triam Udon Suksak School, and Wichit Youngchit from Mahidol Witthayanusorn School.

The Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST) will hold a reception for the team when they arrive at Suvarnabhumi airport at 4.30pm on Friday.

Gold medallist Nipun, a Matthayom 4 student, said he has been part of the IPST's mathematical and scientific skills development programme since he was a Prathom 6 student.He has taken part in maths competitions at many different levels.

In my opinion I think Thai students are not worse than others. I always see the article like this that reports of their winning from many countries in the world. I think this is a good example for students who is studying and try to success in something as one of Thai idiom that says " Where the effort is the successful will be there too "

16 provinces warned of heavy rainfalls, flashfloods.

The Thai Meteorological Department warning people in 16 provinces of heavy rainfall and flash floods. According to the announcement of the Thai Meteorological Department. The North and the Northeast are still prevailing. In the next few days the heavy rainfalls and flash floods are expected in several provinces. The areas that should be risk including the foothills, near waterways, and in lowlands in the provinces of Nan, Prae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phetchaboon, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Roi-Et, Yasothon, Nakhon Ratchasrima, Amnart Charoen, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Nayok and Prachinburi the warning days start from 22 and go along until 25 August.

In my opinion this article has warned people who live in these provinces to prepare them self to avoid the risk area and get ready to immigrate if they have to. The natural disaster is very dangerous and should not ignore them anyway.

Environment Minister to inspect aircraft, investigation underway

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment has visited the Department of Aviation to inspect the Ministry’s choppers and their condition to ensure safety of future passengers.

The move came in the wake of the tragic chopper crash in Nan province which killed permanent-secretary of Natural Resources and Environment Saksit Tridej and four others.

According to the Minister of the Natural Resources and Environment Suwit Khunkitti, the inspection, to be carried out in Pratum Thani province, will focus on the helicopters’ overall condition, their safety measures for aviation, and equipment essential to their operations. The cause of the accident will also be investigated by a team of aviation experts, under the supervision of deputy permanent secretary Chatri Chuayprasit.

In my opinion the unready equipments could make a big mistake even losing lives. Before doing something the preparation is very important. I think before using something you need to make really sure that things you are going to use is ready. These news gave me a lesson that gained me more experience about using something.

Prime minister ask to complete debating budget bill.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has sought co-operation from all members of House of Representatives to complete deliberating the 2011 Budget Bill by 26 August.

Speaking on his weekly talk show on Sunday, " Confidence in Thailand with PM Abhisit", the Prime Minister stated that all complaints and recommendations raised during the second and the third readings of the 2.07-trillion-THB fiscal 2011 Budget Bill were beneficial and would be taken into consideration in the government's budget allocation. He said the government was ready for any investigations in the planned state projects in order to create transparency.

He added that the budget bill would be forwarded to the Senate for further consideration if approved by the Parliament.

The deliberation of the 2011 Budget Bill will begin where it left off, with Section 17 in regard to the Ministry of Interior’s budget, on August 24; the House will vote on it on August 26, 2110.

In my oppinion prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva is a good person. As the beginning of the reports prime minister has shown his ability to people on his weekly talk show on Sunday. He uses his authority to manage the expenditure of the country which is a good acting that shows his people on the television.

PTT, Bangchak discount gasoline prices.

PTT Plc and Bangchak Petroleum Plc will cut pump

prices by 0.60 baht a litre for petrol and 0.40 baht a litre for

diesel,reports said.Effective from Sunday early morning, the

new retail prices will be 35.04 baht per litre for petrol 91, 31.24

for gasohol 95, 29.74 baht for gasohol 91, 28.19 baht for

diesel B3 and 26.99 baht for diesel B5.The price of gasohol

E85 is kept unchanged at 18.82 baht a litre.

In my opinion discounting always a good news that we

can save money from them. Nowadays, in every day life we

have to spend much money for necessary things. The prices

of these things are expensive as well as not suitable for the

cost of living for ordinary people. Anyway, this is the good

news of the gasoline prices to save the driver's money but do

not forgetthe energy saving campaign. You should not use it

lavishly because of the price discounting.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is preparing to organize Thailand e-commerce Forum 2010 in concept create new opportunities for the Thai e-Commerce industry. MICT consults that Blackbery phone might against the Kingdom's computer law.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology confirms that people in Thailand can still use Blackberry phone services regularly and does not go against the Kingdom's computer law. Mr.Aree Jiworarak, the director of the information technology control center said all of the information that use in the smart phone Blackberry including a full conversation logs in all users details like BB pin, time of call, or call destination have been kept in servers in Canada and allows to recall them within 90 days. Mr.Aree Jiworarak explaned the local mobile service operators such as DTAC, AIS, or TrueMove could use their authorities to recalld the information when something wrong. Anyway, The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology keep trying to reslove this problem.

In my opinion I think the Blackberry smart phone is becoming more and more popular. I think Blackberry smart phone company has made a big mistake. Because of I am a person who use the Blackberry phone services and if some day the government has forbade the Blackberry phone services caused by the National Security. It would be really terrible. Imax planed to build more theaters.

Imax Crop plans to build about 140 more theaters in Asia within 2012. The Imax's senior vice president and managing director in Asia Pacific; Don Savant said Asia is the fastest growing market of company. He plans to build new 70 more theaters within 2012. In the plan the company has signed a deal with Major Cineplex Group that costs 5 million US dollars, to build another five more Imax digital theaters in Thailand. Vicha Poolvaraluck, chairman of Major Cineplex Group, said the company has to invest more than 300 million bath to build them within three years too. The budget includes 5 million US dollars for their systems. Major Ratchayothin and Esplanande Ngam Wong Wan is the first two Imax digital theaters that will be started services in the end of this year. Another two theaters will be started services at new location in Bangkok and another province.

Imax theaters have opened twenty three theaters in China and over 30 are under construction. Imax has growing up very fast in pass two years, that makes a huge discounting of the film cost. Caused by the transition from a film-based to a digital company.

In my opinion this is a good thing that is happening in Thailand. More theater means more convenient. Many people in Thailand have never watched movies in 3D because there are a few 3D theaters in Thailand. I think this plan of Imax theater is a really good news for people who have never been there to become easier to find some 3D theaters and enjoy them.

Airport Link is ready to open on commercial service.

The State Railway of Thailand is ready to open the Airport Link on 23 August 2010 as the commercial service. Mr.Yutthana Thapchaloen; the SRT Governer said according to the trial period run during from 1 June until now,there are about 17,000 people who use this train in a day.Now they are ready to open all services and lines that included the City Line and the Express Line.

The city line starts from Phayathai station to Suvarnabhumi Airport and stop in every station. The price of the ticket of the city line is 15 bath (Only one price for all distance). The express line starts from Makkasan to the airport as non-stop track. The express line ticket costs 100 bath per a round.

Mr Yutthana said prices in all line will be in this rate start from 23 August and they might be changed at the end of this year.The new city line price would be between 15 bath to 45 bath, and the express line would be 150 for a round-trip. In all lines the train will depart from the station every 15 minutes and their operation time is from 06.00am to 12.00 pm.

In my opinion this news is the good news for people who live in Bangkok or even no. I am one of them. Actually, My hometown is not Bangkok but I live in Bangkok for many years. This news show me the developing of the city. The transportation will be more convenient to travel in the city even to abroad. It would be a better choice for people who have to travel a lot and want to avoid the traffic jams.
